Sneha’s film in trouble

Sneha will be seen for the first time in an action flick titled Bhavani I P S, the remake of Vyjayanthi I P S which starred Vijayashanthi. The shooting of the film began in Tirunelveli a couple of weeks back. This film is being produced by Sri Movie Makers and directed by Arthi Kumar. Sneha has reportedly lost a few kilos and is said to be learning different types of stunts for the film.

Few scenes involving Vivek was shot in the Ramar Temple in Palayamkottai a few days back. That’s when few office bearers of religious outfits like the Hindu Munnani and Yadavar Maha Sabai visited the shooting spot and complained that the crew had not taken permission from the authorities to shoot at the temple. However the director insisted that he had completed the necessary formalities and had obtained permission to shoot there. Further on the spot was visited by the police officials who brought in order and let the shooting continue.

Yuvan accepts acting offer

Yuvan Shankar Raja has been long evading acting offers that have come his way. Of course, he has made fleeting appearances in Saroja and Punnagai Poove but those can’t be called acting stints by any stretch of imagination. But now, the young music director has been coaxed into taking up a good role and the man

who convinced him is Venkat Prabhu.

After two successful outings as director-composer, the duo will now be testing their director-actor combination in the forthcoming film Goa. It will not be a simple cameo; it will be a well written part that will have a bearing on the story. So, get ready to watch Yuvan, the actor.

Rahman’s favorite enlivens Sabarimala

Rahman’s favorite on the drums, none other than Sivamani was at Sabarimala recently. You can’t keep this man away from rhythms and he proved this once again when he gave an impromptu performance right at the foot of the 18 holy steps that lead to the sannidhanam.

Of course, he had not carried his

drums along with him and so had to provide his rhythms on small vessels and other assortments that doubled up as percussion instruments. This was a different type of entertainment which the Ayappa devotees thoroughly enjoyed.

An Anniyan of a different kind!

Krishnaleelai, the term is usually associated with pranks played by Lord Krishna, which more often than not involved putting women in trouble. But director Selvan, who has formerly made Suri, has a different take and he will be telling us that through his new movie Krishnaleelai.

This Krishnaleelai will be more about

the deeds of Lord Krishna that ended the atrocities of the tyrannical king Kamsa. The hero of the movie (Jeevan) will be seen purging the society of many evils. The storyline might seem similar to many themes that have been made in Tamil cinema like Anniyan, Gentleman etc. But the director begs to differ from this view. He insists that this movie will be different from the already existing lot of do-gooder themes. Krishnaleelai is being produced by Kavithalaya and it is said that K. Balachander was hugely impressed when he first heard this story from the director. The movie is reported to have shaped up well and is currently in its last phase of shooting.
